Sportsmanship issues!

Now days in basketball, football, tennis, baseball, track, and cross country there is very unlike sportsmanship issues. Most people think they get along great but when so people lose they get very upset on and off the court or field they think it is good not to shake players hand after the game. When so people see that they talk about you school in a bad way thats why we always shake there hands at the end of the game. Most players focus on competing with each other instead of helping each other out to defeat the other team. When you think of sportsmanship you think of great attitude or very friendly but most people dont see what happens off the court all they see is what happens on the court. Making jokes about other players on the court it very unnecessary  and also making ugly faces at players is very wrong to. According to a 2017 survey of more than 17,000 referees, parents and coaches cause the majority of problems with sportsmanship. As parents, we let our children know what our expectations are so they know what success looks like. Coaches need to do the same thing for youth sports parents. If you expect your kid’s team to execute a flawless ‘give-and-go’ when they are just getting the basics of passing down, you’re likely to be a frustrated parent on the sidelines.  Likewise, many parents fail to realize youth sports athletes don’t know every rule in the book, and that officials adjust the enforcement of fundamental rules as kids are learning the game.As parents, we hold our kids accountable to following the rules in our homes. Most students have rules at home and follow thoses so whats so different about following the rules during the game. It should be the same as her as at home really. So we should have great manners at school and during the games and at home!

Drug Abuse Issues!

Over the years, alot of athletes have tested positive for drugs. Too many kids are heading down the wrong path. To many kids are trying to take the easy way out when things get to tough. Drug abuse occurs in all sports and at most levels of competition. Athletes do drugs for many reason in sports pain, stress ,just for the joy of it. Most coaches want kids to quit drugs but they cant its already in there blood. Most drugs lead to a mental illness witch puts the player in more pain they think it is healing the but they are getting worse witch is making there body worse. Drug abuse in the athlete population may involve doping in an effort to gain a competitive advantage. In many circumstances it has been known in many areas that teachers overlook drug abuse due to the fact that athletes play extremely well. This is bad due to the fact that it contributes to their drug addiction and makes it seem OK to smoke pot. This helps crutch many students as for this will not help them on a better outcome on life.  Drugs make most students think  it will help the accomplish anything in life when it really wont. Like most school districts have started the plan of drug testing many students by random choice. If you fail you will be ineligible to play any sports you want to.  The effects of different classes of drugs used for doping, side effects of doping, the role of anti-doping organizations, and the treatment of affected athletes. Most programs are dropping in the athlete department because they are losing to drugs and give up on sports for drugs. Be careful what you do dont do drugs because it will affect you so much in life not help you in it! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4140700/

NO passing,NO Playing!

Most school´s have a no pass,no play rule. Exceptions in most school districts have rules with grades if you ain´t passing you aint stepping on the field or court. This is considered a UIL law for sports. Most parents wonder why there kids are on the sideline not suited out when the others are playing on the field. What most parents dont understand is they are not trying to discipline us they are doing it for us to keep up in school.  They want us to represent Seagraves HS/JH in a good manner.  •Students beginning in grades nine and below must have been promoted from the previous grade prior to the beginning of the current school .Is a state law requiring public school students who participate in extracurricular requirements. It is a state legislation that high school students pass all of there required courses. This has became an issue to most parents because they want there students out there no matter what the case is. Some coaches have a it down talk with the parents to give them more info about it. Also most coaches give all athletes a packet to take home for out family members to read over and sigh it. This rule has been here since 1984 but just recently most schools started doing it to see how well the students would relate to it or benefit it. Each six-week grading period in order to qualify to continue participating in extracurricular activities such as athletics, band not just basketball and football its mainly everything no pass no play .So in this grading police it is very complicated for the teachers when you think your passing you could actually be failing so never doubt the smartness of the teachers cause you will always fail against them no lie. https://www.uiltexas.org/policy/tea-uil-side-by-side/academic-requirements  -https://definitions.uslegal.com/n/no-pass-no-play-rule/ -https://definitions.uslegal.com/n/no-pass-no-play-rule/

Jersey issues! With women and Men!

Most jersey’s look great until they get on the player’s. Most parents complain about the athletes shorts being to short when they run or work out. When most girls run there shorts come up very high and parents say that gives the boys and advantage to look at there legs. Back in the days the shorts were down  to the knee in some sports they still are like in basketball they are almost below the knee just depends how short you are. Those tight and short volley ball shorts are but the less clothes the easier to move. Most women prefer to wear something that covers more skin. When is comes to 12 years old they technically have the choice to wear it or not really.  Swimmers often wear the tiniest of coverings, while women wear full-coverage suits that reach to their necks. Boys mostly don’t have trouble finding there size or what they need to wear. According to our Seagraves  HS/JH have dress codes like we shall not wear shorts across the shoulders that are not three fingers of lengthen we also cant wear pants that are cut above the knee that goes for boys to.Tennis most often find women in short skirts and men wearing longer shorts. In sports such as wrestling, golf, basketball and some football leagues, women and men wear virtually identical clothing. Most parents have trouble getting there children to wear the school uniform. Most girls have comfort issues with there uniforms and get in trouble for messing with them. Just as i said boys have easier time finding  there school uniforms and girls struggle more.As Hayley Johnston-Coutts, the researcher responsible for this study argues, “schools should be places of learning and discovery, not sites of gender discrimination, social indoctrination and …re-enforcers of stereotypical social norms”. So girls should not be judged by what they wear to school they go to learn not dress inappropriate!    http://girlsuniformagenda.org/2017/06/14/research-girls-school-uniforms-clear-discriminate/

Problem #1 Well according to the link(down below) how many parents usually hold there kids back from sports? Most parents hold there children back because they are putting them in danger. When it  comes to football there is a bigger risk getting a concussion due to the physical sport.A  new survey found the parents are limiting there children to only play certain sports because of head injuries.  16% of parents have said no to athletics to keep there children safe and protected. With also 51% saying yes to athletics but some of them said it still depends on the game.     https://247sports.com/

Problem #2 Arguments: athletes need to own their decisions both bad and good! Most problems now days is arguments over little points or breaking ankles or a pass or interception. Drama is in every sport everyday just a few days ago when the cowboys palyed i think the 49rs they were fighting the field. This is very dangerous for players to fight one could get hurt very badly! https://www.google.com/search?q=cbs+news&rlz=1CADEAF_enUS811&oq=cbs+news&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.3168j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on    https://www.statista.com/topics/2113/sports-on-tv/

Problem #3 Parents who don’t let the game belong to the kids who are playing the sports! So parents are very protect over there kids if they get hurt or don’t get a spot in the sport or don’t even get playing time. Just recent the parents of a girl brought in a law suit for there daughter being noticed by a volleyball scout for college. You done sue or waste precious time on suing the school for your kid not gettting playing time. http://changingthegameproject.com/4-the-biggest-problems-in-youth-sports-today https://www.cnn.com/2015/07/08/opinions/robbins-kids-sports-games/index.html

Problem #4 Coaches who fail to respect the kids. Most well some coaches as you can say are about winning a  bring perfect. Most coaches say its for your own good but parents are against it. Just recently a coach got very upset with one of his players playing the wrong play or going the different way. Most people dont think there is problems like this in sports but there is. There was a Freshman just going into HS loving football till he said his coach destroyed his mental game. You should be boosting your players up not  putting them down. http://www.sportpsychologytoday.com/youth-sports-psychology/how-bully-coaches-affect-athletes-mental-game/          https://www.competitivedge.com/you-are-not-good-coach-when-you

Problem #5 Youth sports Organizations That Serve Adults not kids.Youth sports has become a business that serves them, and this creates barriers to play for too many children. Some children love to play more than one sport but some moms don´t want them to. Parents go for where the coaches convince the parents to go and stay. Most children don’t get to do what they want they follow what there parents want.Parents are very smart at what they want and what they don´t want for there children. http://changingthegameproject.com/4-the-biggest-problems-in-youth-sports-today/  http://pathwaystofamilywellness.org/Wellness-Lifestyle/eye-on-the-ball-why-we-need-to-fix-youth-sports.html
